It is made better and performs better than any other entry level OTF knife, especially considering the price. If you hand it to a person who hasn't used otf's before they probably won't be able to actuate it. I've played with both the Cobratec and Ultratech before but have never torture tested either. The grip on this thing is so solid. Screws need to be put on Loctite. The Lightning OTF has been tried and true for a long time now. 85s are known to have some of the best and easiest action out of the microtech otf lineup. Blade steel isn't the greatest, 440 I think and probably not heat treated very well, but otherwise a solid knife. That's absolute fucking garbage. And for the blade shape, I only used them with my Tanto blade but I didnt see anything internal that would cause issues with other blade shapes.
