Golden Karavan is a mini-major with offices in Mumbai and Los Angeles that produces and distributes high-end and provocative Indian-themed episodic content for premium OTT platforms targeting a global audience. It is a strategic partnership between Jeff Sagansky, Florence Sloan, Aaron Kaplan with Apoorva Bakshi, Pooja Kohli and Sanjay Bachani of Film Karavan.
With a full development slate and the ability to curate material with an eye to engage, the company will provide the infrastructure, bandwidth, TV business acumen and production experience to the ever-expanding South Asian market.

Aaron Kaplan is founder of Kapital Entertainment, one of the most successful TV production companies in Hollywood. Kaplan has partnered with CBS Corporation to co-finance Kapital projects and to serve as the company’s worldwide distributor.
FLORENCE SLOAN
Florence Sloan is both a successful producer (“Snowflower and the Secret Fan”) and philanthropist. She spearheaded the launch of Golden Karavan and leverages her past experience as Co-CEO of Big Feet Productions and producing-partner for Golden Peak Productions to focus on business development.
JEFF SAGANSKY
Jeff Sagansky is an active media investor having taken public companies including Videocon d2h, Global Eagle Entertainment and the recently announced merger of Double Eagle Acquisition and Williams Scotsman. He is the former President of CBS Entertainment and former co-president of Sony Pictures Television.
APOORVA BAKSHI
Before partnering on Golden Karavan, Apoorva Bakshi was part of the team that launched Film Karavan, an India distribution company which supplied most of the foundation and products to platforms in India. Apoorva’s strength lies is in distribution and packaging projects (Keifer Sutherland’s 24, So You Think You Can Dance and Top Chef) for premium OTT platforms and broadcasters in their launch phases.
SANJAY BACHANI
Prior to partnering on Golden Karavan, Sanjay Bachani was part of a team that launched Film Karavan. FilmKaravan is a streamlined aggregation & delivery solution house that aggregates, encodes, packages and delivers digital assets to major digital platforms.
POOJA KOHLI
Pooja Kohli has 20+ years’ experience in content acquisitions with a specific focus on business development, niche marketing and media production/operations across NA, UK, and India. A ferocious guardian of good content Pooja has served on various international juries and launched the MIAAC Film Festival in her earlier years. She currently serves as Managing Director and CEO of FilmKaravan and aggregates & seemlessly distributes high quality content across digital platforms.
